Synopsis:
Léone
is a forlorn disabled young woman who survives in the shadow… In the shadow
of her handicap, of her leg and foot deformed by polio… In the shadow of
“normal people” and her bonsais. In the shadow of her small working-class
house that she uses as a lookout post onto the outside world, especially to spy
on every move her neighbour Andréas, a researcher of a tormented nature,
makes. In the shadow of her own tragedy: the mad desire she feels for this unattainable
man… Léone knows she must take action. She causes an accident in which
she is the victim and Andréas the “guilty” party. She is going
to use the guilt this man feels to attract him to her…
